Paris

Paris is a city full of history, art, and culture. I visited the French capital on a school trip, which made the experience even more memorable. During our stay, we explored some of the city’s most famous landmarks and museums while also enjoying the lively atmosphere of its charming neighborhoods.

Louvre

One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the Louvre Museum, the largest and one of the most famous museums in the world. Of course, we went to see Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, one of the most iconic paintings ever created. Although it was surrounded by many visitors, it was still special to finally see it in person.

The Louvre has much more to offer than just the Mona Lisa. I also enjoyed walking through the impressive galleries filled with historical clothing, royal treasures, and the famous French crown jewels. Another unforgettable sight was the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the beautiful ancient Greek statue of the winged goddess that stands proudly at the top of a grand staircase.

Montmartre

Another part of our trip took us to Montmartre, one of Paris’ most charming districts. We walked through its cozy streets before arriving at the lively square, where artists displayed their paintings and musicians performed throughout the evening. The atmosphere was incredible, and it was the perfect place to sit down and enjoy a delicious pizza while watching the entertainment around us.

While in Montmartre, we also visited the beautiful Sacré-Cœur Basilica. Standing on top of the hill, the church offers one of the best panoramic views over Paris and is definitely worth the climb.

Musée d’Orsay

We also explored the Musée d’Orsay, another world-famous museum located in a former railway station. Here I admired works by artists such as Vincent van Gogh and René Magritte, making it a great stop for anyone interested in Impressionist and modern art. Besides these very known artists, you can also find less known ones. It’s a very big museum so take your time and go around to admire everything because it is very worth it.

Paris perfectly combines history, world-famous art, beautiful architecture, and vibrant city life. Whether you’re visiting its museums, wandering through Montmartre, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, the city offers unforgettable experiences around every corner.
